Smoothies make a delicious healthy snack. If you’re on the go and need a quick snack, then try on these 35 Healthy Instagram Worthy Smoothies! From blueberry to strawberry and avocado. They are packed full of vitamins and minerals.
There are so many great options here I am not going to add even more. What I will do is give you a brief nutritional impact on them. If you know you need a boost to a specific vitamin or mineral, you can simply look down the list until you find a smoothie that gives you what you need.
Quick And Easy
I won’t be counting milligrams. I will say it in as easy terms as possible. Showing you quickly and easily which will give you a vitamin C boost etc.
Some will inevitably have a long list of helpful nutrients but I will be concentrating on the ones that are contained in serious quantities which will help to balance out any deficiencies you may have in your diet.
1. Wild Blueberry Turmeric Smoothie
Article image from – karalydon
Sweet and spice and everything nice. This Wild Blueberry Turmeric Zinger Smoothie is packed with immune-boosting ingredients to keep you rockin and rollin all winter long.
The Magic Of Spices
Turmeric (Tumeric) is one of those magical spices that has a well established positive effect on health.
It contains a quarter of manganese you need each day in 1 tablespoon. This is a useful addition to most people’s diet, but it is its well-established health benefits that grab most of the headlines.
Blueberries are another one of those foods labelled as “superfoods”. You get a quarter of your daily dose of vitamin C and over a third of your daily dose of vitamin K in just one cup of berries.
The single cup of mango gives you another 67% of your vitamin C as well as an endless list of minerals and trace elements. The ginger doesn’t provide much in the form of vitamins or minerals but is packed with antioxidants and has many proven health benefits.
The Wonderful World Of ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar)
The addition of apple cider vinegar packs in more antioxidants and amino acids and is one of the oldest most established foods with well-known health benefits. Last but not least the almond milk gives you all the vitamin E you need for the day and depending on the brand used may well be fortified with calcium and vitamin D too.
A Nutritional Time Bomb
So if you drink both servings during the day, you will have packed in a massive amount of nutrition really easily. You get all the vitamin C and E you need and a hefty dose of vitamin K too. It also provides a significant amount of manganese and many other nutrients at lower levels (as well as any vitamin D and calcium if the almond milk is fortified). The finishing touch is the amazing array of anti-oxidants, amino acids and trace elements provided by the combination of foods used. All that dietary fibre helps keep your digestive system happy too.
2. Lemon Blueberry Smoothie
Article image from – runningonrealfood
This lemon blueberry smoothie tastes a bit like blueberry pie but you know it’s loaded up with all kinds of nutrition. The recipe features antioxidant-rich berries, frozen banana, plant-based protein powder, chia seeds and cinnamon but it’s the pop of fresh lemon juice that really takes this smoothie up a notch.
Better Than Supplements
You will know by now I am not a fan of supplements in general and I don’t really think the protein powder in this recipe is necessary with a well-balanced diet. The chia seeds themselves contain some protein too.
More Omega-3 Than Fresh Salmon
You should use a good tablespoon (about 20 grams) of the chia seeds and they will give you an excellent source of magnesium, manganese and phosphorus along with some calcium and many other minerals. They also contain Omega 3 oils and gram for gram actually provide more than fresh salmon.
Full Of Anti-oxidants
You will know from the previous recipe that blueberries are great. Full of antioxidants and a great source of vitamin K, vitamin C and manganese, they always help nutritionally.
Keep It Natural
I would add the full banana instead of the protein powder. It makes much more sense to me. You get a great dose of vitamin B6 as well as more manganese, potassium and other minerals.
An Incredible Boost To Your Manganese Levels
The lemon isn’t really used in a large enough amount to add much but it does help with vitamin C, potassium and B6.
Together you get around 75% of your daily dose of manganese and around a third of the vitamin C, you will need in a day.
3. Strawberry Avocado Green Smoothie
Article image from – yayforfood
Creamy and delicious! This refreshing green smoothie features fresh strawberries and avocado that will give you a healthy energy boost for the day!
An Amazing Combination
You really can’t find a much better combination than avocado and strawberry. Both contain high levels of vitamin C. So together they help to fortify anyone’s immune system. They provide an amazing combination of good fats, fibre, vitamin C and vitamin K, antioxidants and manganese as well as more potassium than bananas from the avocado.
Spinach is a fantastic addition too, as it again boosts vitamin K levels. You also get a very different group of anti-oxidants to complement those provided by the strawberries. Last but not least, they also provide significant levels of magnesium.
Slow And Steady
You will find the combination of carbohydrate, protein and good fats in this recipe gives you a strong steady release of energy for a long time. The combined levels of vitamin C and vitamin K make it a no-nonsense solution if you are worried your levels are low. Anti-oxidants are also vital for every one of us and this recipe really does provide a really wide selection that will help to balance anyone’s diet.

6. Go-to Green Smoothie
Article image from – therealfoodrds
This Go-to Green Smoothie has only five ingredients. Yes, that’s right, five simple ingredients!
You Don’t Need Protein Powder!
However natural and free from any protein powder says it is on the label, it is a highly processed ingredient that you really don’t need. For one thing, very few people need more protein than we already consume. Secondly, putting a handful of nuts or seeds into a grinder takes seconds and means all the essential oils contained are fresh and at their most effective.
Nuts and seeds are the building blocks of nature. They provide a self-sealed package of protein and other nutrients that you simply can’t beat. They also come with an incredible array of flavours, so everyone can find at least one they like.
Simple Is Great
Simple is great as far as I am concerned. So when I saw this recipe it immediately got my attention. Replacing the protein powder is easy and I always have toasted sesame seeds handy which are my personal favourite.
Where Do I Start?
Nutritionally this recipe can be changed significantly by using different greens and seeds. I will do a breakdown using spinach and sesame seeds, but by using kale and chia seeds you could alter the nutritional profile a great deal.
The Bananas, avocado and spinach all contain high levels of vitamin C, so together you can be assured of all the vitamin C your body could need. You are also well covered when it comes to potassium and vitamin B6 as these are also contained in all 3.
Roasting Is Best
The sesame seeds I use are raw and unhulled. They are simply the best nutritionally. However, they do contain compounds to protect the nutrition inside. Roasting them gently before use means the nutritional content is easier to absorb in the body. It also releases the amazing flavour of the essential oils contained within the seed.
You can be assured the oils contained are healthy oils and along with the protein they give they provide high levels of calcium, magnesium, manganese and zinc.
Spinach, The King Of Vegetables
Spinach really is amazing when it comes to nutrition. I have already mentioned it’s high levels of vitamin C potassium and vitamin B6, but that is just the start. You get more calcium to add to that provided by the sesame seeds and also significant levels of both vitamin A and K1. Folic acid, iron, magnesium, vitamins B6, B9 and E add even more to the overall benefits and the antioxidants and micronutrients it also contains have shown many health benefits from improving the immune system and cardiovascular system to general eye health.
All the ingredients in this smoothie have amazing nutrient profiles, but as always, used together they are simply better. You get a nutrient profile that is both more complete and more balanced. Choosing foods that complement each other means after a while you simply won’t have to worry about deficiencies. You will know that the variety and amount of whole food ingredients you use will give you everything you need.

Proven Health Benefits
This is another simple and delightful recipe. The ginger adds something very special and has some amazing and thoroughly proven health benefits. the following list is just the vitamins and minerals it contains. Vitamin B3 and B6, Iron, Potassium, Vitamin C, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Zinc, Folate, Riboflavin and Niacin.
The Power Of Gingerol
Ginger contains more than 400 chemical compounds, but research has shown that gingerol is the one responsible for its health benefits. They are also what gives it its smell and flavour. Gingerol has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help the body in a variety of different ways.
Soothing An Upset Stomach
Modern research has found the chemical compounds in ginger ease stomach pain and aid digestion. Ginger has long been used as a remedy to ease morning sickness during pregnancy. Ginger can also help relieve nausea and vomiting after surgery and for people going through chemotherapy.
Research seems to show that eating ginger improves indigestion symptoms by helping the stomach empty faster.
Ginger is an anti-inflammatory and it can also ease joint pain due to inflammation from arthritis. A study found that people with knee osteoarthritis who took ginger extract had less pain and used less pain medication.
Recent research has focused on applying ginger extract to the skin of the painful joint. Topical use of ginger may be just as effective in reducing arthritis pain. It also has beneficial effects on the immune and cardiovascular systems.
